About
Established in 2011 Wicklow Boat Charters offer Commercial Marine Services, Angling and Sea Tours along the East Coast.
The company has continued to expand and now offers three boats, available for wind farm works, marine surveys and other commercial marine services as well as a broad selection of angling and tourism charters.
Our fully-qualified and experienced skippers offer a broad range of services including Angling, Tours, Surveys, Safety Boat, Film work & Pilotage.
All charters are fully licensed, on modern, comfortable and stable boats with inside and outside seating and toilet facilities.
Kit Dunne, Skipper/Owner
Kit is a Highly Qualified & Experienced Skipper & Angler with more than 40 years Boat Handling Experience. Coupled with RNLI, Pilotage and Management Experience we can readily meet your needs.
Kit is an Experienced International boat Angler with Team Management and Coaching qualifications, and an in dept knowledge of the East Coast Inshore and Offshore.

Castle Maiden
The Castle Maiden is a 10.5 Metre, (35’), x 3.35 M, Offshore 105, a very popular purpose-built Charter Boat with great stability & comfort. She has a very spacious deck with some seating inside and outside. Toilet is below deck leaving more space on deck and 360 degree vision from the helm. Fitted with a 400hp Iveco Aifo Engine, she cruises at 10 Knots at 1600 revs, with a top speed of 15 knots.

Manannan Mac Lir (Manannan)
The new vessel, “Manannan”, is an 11.4m, (37.5’), x 4.4m, (14.5′), Swiftcat, a state-of-the-art Charter Boat with great speed, safety, stability & comfort. She has a very spacious flush deck with full walk around wheelhouse giving ample deck space all-round the boat. She is fitted out with high spec modern electronics & safety equipment with all mod cons. She is a twin-engine shaft driven Catamaran, fitted with 2 x 420hp Iveco FPT NEF67 engines, she cruises at 18-20 Knots, with a top speed of 28 knots.

Wicklow Fishing
The sights around Wicklow Head and the three lighthouses are simply iconic and can only really be appreciated from the sea. Further afield, you can visit the wind farms sited off Arklow. The fishing is great, and no surprise since Kit the skipper fished in the Ireland boat fishing team and is the current Team Ireland Manager. From Dogfish, Thorneback Ray, Gurnard, Spurdog’s to Cod and Whiting, the day was full of tight lines. The prize though is the famous Tope and Smoothound since record breaking fish live in the waters around Wicklow.

He is also very friendly and will always give you tips whether you are a novice or an experienced angler.
