Angling Charters
Wicklow Boat Charters offer a broad range of Angling Charters and Services for Anglers of all tastes and levels of experience.
Whether you are a complete novice with no tackle, happy to catch a few fish, or an avid angler out to target your 100lb Shark or your Irish Specimen Tope, we can meet your needs.
We offer Charters and Individual seats for Full, Half Day & Evening sessions. Specific trips targeting Blue Shark, Porbeagle Shark, Tope, Smooth Hound, Irish Specimen Fish, Wreck Species, or a broad range of smaller and some quite rare species.
General Fishing
General Trips are for all anglers, we target a broad range of species and our aim is to keep everyone busy and hopefully catch a few personal bests. Typically, we target Smooth Hound, Bull-Huss, Ray, Tope, Spurdog and many more general species. If a group are all agreed we will target some rough ground species including Pollock, Codling, Ballan Wrasse, Ling, Conger and Black Bream.

Charter 500 euro, Individual Seat 65 euro (typically 8 persons)
MANANNAN:
Charter 600 euro, Individual Seat 65 euro (typically 10 persons)

Half Day
CASTLE MAIDEN:
Charter 300 euro, Individual Seat 45 euro (typically 8 persons)
MANANNAN:
Charter 400 euro, Individual Seat 45 euro (typically 10 persons)

Morning: 9am-1pm | Afternoon: 1pm-5pm | Evening: 5pm-9pm
Rod & Tackle Hire: 10 euro pp. General Bait Supply: 10 euro pp.
Wreck Fishing
Wreck Trips can be the most productive of all trips, most of our wrecks produce vast quantities of Pollock to 14lb and Cod to 8lb, also Coalies, Ling and Pouting on the drift. Anchor fishing wrecks will produce Conger and Ling although conditions must be right for this method. The days can be long but the rewards are great, and the scenic aspects alone make every day an experience.
CASTLE MAIDEN: INSHORE WRECKS
Charter 600 euro, Individual Seat 100 euro (typically 6 persons)
MANANNAN: OFFSHORE WRECKS
Charter 900 euro, Individual Seat 110 euro (typically 8 persons)
Rod & Tackle Hire – 20 euro per person.
General Bait Supply – 15 euro per person.
Irish Specimen Fish
We pride ourselves on our Specimen Fish catches, boasting 7 different Species of Irish Specimen Fish. We annually catch over 100 Specimen Fish. Typical target fish are Smooth Hound, Tope, Spurdog, Bull-Huss, Black Bream and Pollock, and all are realistically within your reach, the records don’t lie. We have also caught Specimen Blue Shark & Garfish.
Shark Fishing
Shark Fishing trips are more accessible to all anglers now and they can be the most amazing experience with the chance of The Fish of your Lifetime. The days can be long and can go from being quiet to absolutely crazy in minutes. Because not everyone will be equipped with suitable tackle, we do offer Rod & Tackle Hire. We have caught and released an average of 9 sharks per trip in recent years with a record 26 sharks in one day. The rewards can be great, the sea-life, including Dolphins & Whales, and the scenic aspects alone make every day a brilliant experience.

Wicklow Fishing
The sights around Wicklow Head and the three lighthouses are simply iconic and can only really be appreciated from the sea. Further afield, you can visit the wind farms sited off Arklow. The fishing is great, and no surprise since Kit the skipper fished in the Ireland boat fishing team and is the current Team Ireland Manager. From Dogfish, Thorneback Ray, Gurnard, Spurdog’s to Cod and Whiting, the day was full of tight lines. The prize though is the famous Tope and Smoothound since record breaking fish live in the waters around Wicklow.

Another great trip out with Kit and Wicklow boat charters. Kit know the spots that produce fish even in the toughest of conditions. He is also very friendly and will always give you tips whether you are a novice or an experienced angler. Wreck Fishing Wicklow
Being a neutral country one wouldn’t expect to find too many maritime wrecks. Well you’d be wrong; Sailing with a 30 mile radius of Wicklow Town, Skipper and Irish International Angler, Kit Dunne put us on to some big fish including specimen 12 Lb Pollock and cod to 7 Lb. Interesting to see how a boat applies covid rules, but the ship is well organised to get anglers out to see in a safe and organised manner. Overall a great experience, great fishing, who could ask for more.
